Independent Space Company is a simulation game where players manage their company and fleet of spacecraft through their web browser.
Throughout the game players will be discovering celestial objects by launching probes, setting up resource harvesting operations by launching rovers, drills, and depots, establishing transportation routes by launching transports, and protecting their operations from rival companies by launching military spacecraft.
When you start your Independent Space Company you'll begin by setting up resource harvesting operations on one of the local moons: LUNA-001, LUNA-002, and LUNA-003. As you explore further out into the Universe your trips to celestial objects will go from a few minutes to hours.
Sectors in the Universe are discovered by launching probes. Sectors contain celestial object with their own unique resources identified by sending a satellite to that object. Each resource has a different value. Protect your knowledge of the Universe as celestial objects with high value resources can make you rich.
It's up to you where you spend your credits and time. Do you purchase more transports and escorts for resources closer to home? Or do you send transports farther out for more valuable resources?

- Discover Sectors:
- Purchase and launch Probes to start discovering sectors in the Universe that might contain new celestial objects with valuable resources.
- Discover Resources:
- Purchase and launch Satellites to identify the resources available on discovered celestial objects.
- Harvest Resources:
- Purchase and launch Drills to start harvesting resources on discovered celestial objects.
- Purchase and launch Depots to store harvested resources on discovered celestial objects.
- Purchase and launch Rovers to move harvested resources from Drills to Depots on discovered celestial objects.
- Transport Resources:
- Purchase and launch Transports to move harvested resources from Depots to the HOME planet to earn credits.
- Protect Operations:
- Purchase and launch Escorts to protect Transports from attacks by other companies.
- Purchase and launch Patrols to attack spacecraft from other companies in the designated sectors.
- Purchase and launch Interceptors to defend attacks from other companies in the designated sectors.
- Purchase and launch Enforcers to defend from attacks by other companies in the designated sectors.
- Purchase and launch Command Ships to defend from attacks by other companies across multiple sectors.
Tips
- Every company is exploring the same Universe with their own list of discoverd sectors, objects, and resources.
- Spacecraft can only be upgraded and insured before scheduling their launch.
- Spacecraft can be launched at one of the multiple launch facilities. Each facility has it's own queue, success rating, and launch cost.
- Every spacecraft is limited by a signal strength that can be improved through upgrades.
- Mission Logs provide useful information about spacecraft and operations.
- Military combat prioritizes military spacecraft over Transports and other spacecraft.
- Military spacecraft cannot be deployed to the sector of the Universe containing the HOME planet.
- Plan your operations wisely as you're more likely to run into competing companies closer to the HOME planet.
